[German]Microsoft has released a new Firmware Update for Surface Pro 3 on August 24, 2017. It shall fixes issues with devices using Type Cover.
The package provides the installation files for Microsoft Surface Type Cover Integration Driver version 1.1.362.0. If the driver is already installed on your system, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix various issues, add new functions, or just upgrade to the available version. So, I'd been having some odd behavior with my Surface Pro 3 Type Cover. Whenever it was connected, either it'd cause the Surface to sleep (as soon as it was connected), or the trackpad would stop working. I decided to update all the drivers/firmware via the Surface Pro 3 MSI. Windows Updates claims to be up to date.
This update has been enlisted on Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 Firmware Update History page. This update is available only for Surface Pro 3 devices with Windows 10 Anniversary Update 1607 installed, using a Surface Pro Type Cover or a Surface Pro Signature Type Cover.

At AskWoody.com there is a mention, that Surface Pro Type Cover suddenly stops working. So it seems the fix, but only for Windows 10 V1607. According to AskWoody.com, Barb Bowman also reported, that Firmware-Updates are shipped for Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10 V1703.

But those packages are dated March 2017 – mysterious.
